testiranje na COVID-19 antitijela

The medical-biochemical laboratory of the Medikol Polyclinic has started testing the IgG antibodies for SARS-CoV-2 virus (coronavirus).

This serological test shows whether a person has developed antibodies after having contact with the coronavirus with or without the symptoms of the disease. Similar tests are common for other viral diseases affecting a person’s immune system such as chickenpox.

It is important to note that SARS-CoV-2 IgG testing is currently available at Medikol Polyclinic, and there will soon be the possibility of testing for SARS-CoV-2 IgM.

The results are done the same day, 2 hours after receiving a sample in the laboratory. The cost of a test per person is 250 kn. Testing can be done in Zagreb and all of our other branch offices (Čakovac, Split, Rijeka and Osijek).

If you’ve had a test to check if you have IgG antibodies for SARS-CoV-2 virus, there are 2 types of result you can get (negative, positive).

A negative test result means you did not have IgG antibodies against coronavirus when the test was done.

A positive test result means that you developed IgG antibodies in the blood. It implies that you have been in contact with the virus and overcame the infection (with or without the symptoms).

Presence of IgM antibodies indicates current primary coronavirus infection.
